Among the problems that will be considered by the governing body of the World Union for Progressive Judaism at its meeting in Berlin, Germany, on Jan. 28, will be the question whether the traditional Jewish divorce laws shall be fundamentally reformed so as to give women the same rights as men.
The executive committee of the Union has recommended that such reforms be instituted and it is indicated that such action will be taken.
Rabbi David Lefkowitz of Dallas is the chairman of the American delegation on the governing board of the Union. The Hon. Lily H. Montagu of London is the honorary secretary.
