(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
In celebration of the seventy-fifth birthday of Rabbi Sir Hermann Gollancz and in recognition of his services to the cause of relief to the suffering Jewish communities in the Ukraine and other parts of Eastern Europe, the Jewish Relief Federation here has decided to establish an orphans’ home for 75 children. The home will be named in honor of Sir Hermann. An appeal is being made to raise the necessary funds for the maintenance of the institution for the next five years.
The Federation will also present Sir Hermann with an address in the form of an album to be signed by his co-workers. The presentation will be made at a reception to be held in Hove, where Sir Hermann is at present residing.
