A nation-wide tour in the interest of Judaism will be made by a committee of 200, according to plans contemplated by David A. Brown of New York, chairman of the Board of Finance of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Some of the outstanding rabbis and laymen in the United States, Mr. Brown told the Executive Board of the Union at its recent meeting, will participate in this enterprise during November, 1930.

The five million dollar drive for the Hebrew Union College has reached about $4,500,000, Mr. Brown stated, due to the efforts of Adolph S. Ochs, publisher of the “New York Times” and chairman of the fund. Despite the recent economic depression, the Union of American Hebrew Congregations showed new sources of income amounting to $138,000 and representing a net increase of $73,000 in the annual income of the Union, said Mr. Brown.
