A memorial to Ben Yehuda, noted Hebrew lexicographer, will be unveiled on the Mount of Olives. The monument was erected with funds contributed by American Jews.
NATHAN STRAUS BECOMES LIFE MEMBER OF AMERICAN ZIONIST ORGANIZATION
Nathan Straus, and Mrs. Straus, are among those who have enrolled as life memoers of the Zionist Organization of America, according to a report of the organization made public yesterday.
Mr. and Mrs. Straus enrolled in response to a call issued by the Zionist Organization for 2,000 Life Members whose dues should create a reserve lund for the organization and for the discharge of its deficit. Others who have enrolled are Herman Bernstein, Mrs. Irma Lindheim, Norvin R. land-heim, Mrs. J. C. Guggenheimer, Louis Lipsky, Miss Henrietta Szold, Mrs. Archibald Silverman of Providence R. I.
The National Life Membership Committee, chosen by the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization of America, consists of Lawrence Berenson, chairman, Isaac Merter and Philip Wattenberg. Zionist Districts throughout the country are reported working through special committees for the enrollment of life members. The full quota of 2000 life members, at $100 each, is expected to be secured before September 15.
