Police today were still searching for anti-Semitic hoodlums who on two occasions threw bombs into local synagogues.
Friday evening, just before the Sabbath prayers began, a bomb was thrown into a synagogue on Poplawe street. Although the bomb caused no injuries, a panic was created in the synagogue. Every window in the place was smashed.
Another bomb was hurled into a Lukiszki street synagogue on Thursday night during a lecture on the Talmud. All the windows were smashed and one wall of the synagogue was damaged. There were no casualties.
