A gift of $75,000 was presented to the city of Manitowic today by Simon Schwartz on the occasion of his 75th birthday. The gift will be used for the construction of facilities for the mentally ill. Mr. Schwartz, who has long been active in Jewish and civic activities in Manitowic, said he made the gift because “there was a great need for such an institution in the Manitowic community.”
