Rabbi Dr. Stephen S. Wise and Bernard Deutsch, respectively Honorary President and President of the American Jewish Congress, arrived in Washington this morning and conferred with Senator Key Pittman of Nevada, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee; Senator William E. Borah of Idaho, and Senator Robert F. Wagner of New York.

It is understood that a conference has been arranged for this afternoon with the State Department in order to discuss the latest developments in the German situation.

When interviewed by the press representatives here, both Dr. Wise and Bernard Deutsch emphatically denied the rumors circulated in Germany that the American Jewish Congress is fabricating tales of atrocities.

The representatives of the American Jewish Congress were congratulated today by many with whom they conferred, upon the impressive and dignified character of the Madison Square Garden meeting. It is understood that particular gratification was expressed that the demonstration was kept free of rancor and bitterness.
