Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, president of the American Jewish Congress, will sail for Europe and Palestine tomorrow on the Ile de France. He will spend a month in Palestine, following which he will attend the World Zionist Congress at Lucerne. Afterwards he will confer informally with a group of Jewish leaders under the auspices of the Committee of Jewish Delegations and the Zionist Congress Executive Committee.
About 200 persons bade farewell to Dr. Wise at a dinner in the Hotel Tourraine, Boston, Wednesday night. The dinner marked the close of the Jewish National Fund campaign.
Lauding M. Ussishkin for his services to Zionism, Dr. Wise stressed the necessity of acquisition of land in Palestine, a point which Ussishkin always emphasized.
