The British White Paper on Palestine “is such a gross and lawless violation of the Balfour Declaration and the British Mandate for Palestine that resistance is inevitable,” Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the American and World Jewish Congress declared today. “A people less firmly grounded, ethically and spiritually, than the Jews would have resorted long before this to much graver and more violent resistance to British rule in Palestine and the terms of the White Paper,” Dr. Wise stated.
