Wise, Silver Hit Deletion by Inquiry Group of Testimony on Mufti’s Pro-axis Record

The deletion of testimony by Arab spokesmen, Jamal el Husseini and Auni Bey Abdul Hadi, who admitted the war-time association of the ex-Mufti with Hitler, from the stenographic transcript of the proceedings of the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry was condemned today by Drs. Stephen S. Wise and Abba Hiliel Silver as “suppression of evidence” and as an act which “tends to undermine all faith in the correctness and impartiality of the Inquiry.”
