A sixtieth anniversary celebration in honor of Dr. Stephen S. Wise will take place on Tuesday at the Stevens Hotel.
Rabbi Solomon Goldman of Temple Anshe Emet and Professor A. Eustace Haydon of the department of Comparative Religion of the University of Chicago, will speak. Dr. Wise, who is coming to Chicago to witness this birthday tribute to him, will respond.
The celebration here is being given under the auspices of the Chicago Committee of the American Jewish Congress, with Sigmund W. David, chairman. An honorary reception committee of over one hundred prominent Chicagoans is cooperating with the congress and actively assisting in the arrangements for the dinner.
