Dr. Stephen S. Wise, of the Free Synagogue of New York City, will preside at the official installation of Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs as spiritual leader of Congregation Adas Emuno of this city on September 7, it was announced yesterday by Bernard E. Marx, president of the Temple.
Rabbi Jacobs, according to the statement released by the president, was a pupil of Dr. Wise at the Jewish Institute of Religion of New York City, from which he graduated in 1933. He also has studied at the Hebrew University of Palestine.
The special installation services, which will open the season for Congregation Adas Emuno, will mark the beginning of the Temple’s sixty-fourth year of service to Hudson County Jews, Mr. Marx said.
