Dr. Chaim Hoffman, Jewish Agency director in Germany and Austria, left here today for Paris and Palestine where he will confer with Jewish Agency leaders on drawing up priorities under which displaced Jews will be ?ved from Europe to the Jewish State.
A meeting here of 1,000 members of the Jewish Students Union in the American ?one petitioned the United Nations Educational and Cultural Organization, through the ? international Student Service Organization, for “severe measures against the hooligan ?ehavior of Arab students in Cairo and Beirut, which has shaken the academic honor and ?igh ideals of the universities.”
The meeting called on Arab students not to participate in attacks on the Jewish state and appealed to Jewish students throughout the world to rally to the support of the new commonwealth.
