With an expected attendance of 1000 guests, whose backgrounds span the spectrum of science, business and industry, the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Institute which is located in Rehovoth, Israel, with a dinner gala at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel Oct. 24. The theme of the dinner will be. “The Pursuit of Energy.” The principal speaker will be Robert Anderson, chairman of the Board and chief executive officer of the Atlantic Richfield Co. A featured speaker will be Sir Marcus Sieff of London, chairman of Marks and Spencer and chairman of the Wetzmann Institute’s International Board of Governors as well as the president of the Anglo-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
