With suicides the top cause of death in Israel’s military, the Israeli army will restrict some non-frontline soldiers from carrying weapons. In a report to a Knesset committee on Wednesday, Brig. Gen. Avi Zimer reported that the 33 suicides in 2005 account for half of Israel’s military fatalities this year.
