Vladimir Koval, former member of Petlura’s cabinet, who was scheduled to appear as a witness in the Schwartzbard trial, died yesterday. He was forty-two years old.
More than 3,000 persons attended the dedication exercises of the new Agudas Achim Synagogue, Brockton, Mass.
Bernard Hallman presided at the exercises, at which Rabbi A. S. Borvick, Rabbi of the synagogue; Harry Stone, president of the congregation; Rabbi David Goldberg and others spoke.
The synagogue and Hebrew school were erected at a cost of $90,000.
The synagogue has a seating capacity for about 3,000. The Jewish population of Brockton approximates 3,200.
