Rabbi Solomon Wohlgelernter, who for over four years was the spiritual leader of the Schari Tzedeck Congregation of Vancouver, British Columbia, gave his first service at the Bikur Cholum Congregation, Seattle’s oldest and largest synagogue, this week. Rabbi Wohlgelernter has undertaken to serve this congregation for the next five years.
Rabbi Wohlgelernter has taken a big part in all functions of the orthodox community here for the past two years during which time the congregation has been without a rabbi. Simon Glazer and S. Winograd were the two rabbis preceding Rabbi Wohgelernter.
