New York City women contributed $9,151,139 in the past four years for the support of hospitals and social service agencies affiliated with the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, Mrs. Leonard H. Bernheim, retiring chairman of the Women’s Division Board, announced today.
In the 1957-58 Federation campaign, women’s contributions, to date, amount to $2,323,647, with gifts still coming in, Mrs. Bernheim reported. Mrs. Randolph Guggenheim, long active in Federation’s philanthropic work, was named chairman of the Women’s Division board for a two-year term.
