The second in a series of teas for the benefit of “Old Gold and Silver Month,” was given yesterday by Mrs. Edouard Jonas at her home, 998 Fifth Avenue. The teas are sponsored by Thrift House, the permanent rummage shop at 9 West Fifty-seventh street, to aid the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies.

Each of the guests at the tea brought a donation to contribute to the stock of discarded silver and gold objects which Thrift House is collecting for sale. Those articles which cannot be disposed of will be melted down.

Today Mrs. Aaron E. Norman will give a similar tea at her residence, 630 Park avenue. Mrs. Jonas and Mrs. Norman are members of Thrift House’s gold and silver committee, of which Mrs. Albert J. Seligsberg is chairman.

Harriet Abrams, pupil of Dr. Arne, published in 1787 a collection of Scotch songs harmonized for three voices.
