A bridge and tea attended by more than 300 women was given yesterday afternoon by the junior committee of the New York section of the National Council of Jewish Women at Sherry’s, Park Avenue and Forty-ninth Street. Proceeds of the affair will be used to support the play school at Council House in the Bronx, where members supply toys for the children and direct educational groups for adults.
Miss Beatrice Liebowitz is chairman of the committee. Vice-chairmen are Mrs. Sidney Jarcho and Mrs. Bernard Golding. Other members include Mrs. Emanuel Dannett, Mrs. Julian Jacobs, Miss Elka Wien, Miss Ann Amron; Mrs. Carl Leff, Mrs. Morris Leff, Mrs. C. Richter, and Mrs. Lillian Walker.
