Mrs. Arthur Lehman will be hostess to leaders in the Women’s Division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies on November 29, when they will meet at her home to report on the progress of their division in the campaign of Federation to complete a budget of $3,923,000 for the support of 91 affiliated institutions.
Dr. Ira S. Wile, associate in Pediatrics and chief of the clinic at Mount Sinai Hospital, will speak on “The Depression and Its Effect on the Child.” Dr. Wile is also vice-president of the Children’s Welfare Federation of New York. Among the institutions receiving support from Federation are seventeen child-care homes, as well as numerous schools and character-building agencies.
The objective of the Women’s Division is to raise a quota of $550,000 in the campaign. Their activities are under the direction of Mrs. Sidney C. Borg and Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, co-chairmen. Mrs. Warburg and Mrs. Borg will report at the meeting, as will Mrs. Alfred A. Cook, Mrs. Lehman, and Mrs. Irwin Untermyer, division captains.
