A tea will be held by the Women’s Emergency Council on Wednesday afternoon, May 23, at Sherry’s. The Council, recently organized under the leadership of Mrs. Louis Lipsky, is carrying on a drive to raise funds for the maintenance of German-Jewish children in Palestine.
Officers of new district groups include Mrs. Anita Case, chairman, West Side group; Mrs. Samuel Judenfreud, chairman, North Side group, and another group under the leadership of Mrs. A. J. Rongy, treasurer of the Council.
A Junior League has been organized with Eleazer Lipsky, chairman, and Beatrice Horowitz, membership chairman.
