Plans for ihe intensification of the boycott against German goods were made yesterday afternoon when the Women’s Division of ihe Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League to Champion Human Uighis decided to present a resolution endorsing the boycott to the meeting of the Federation of Jewish Women’s Clubs, which will be held all day today at the Hotel Astor.

At the same meeting, which was held at the Hotel Plaza, announcement was made that the Physicians’ Wives’ League of New York, a non-sectarian organisation, has withdrawn from the New York City Federation of Women’s Clubs because, the parent organization refused to commit itself to a policy of advocating a boycott against Germany. Of the League’s 500 members, approximately 150 are non-Jewish.

in a stirring appeal made to the representatives of nearly 400 Jewish and Gentile women’s organizations, Estelle M.  Sternberger, executive director of World Peaceways, declared that "we are at the crossroads of civilization. If we remain silent in the face of the perverted doctrines of Hitlerism, we stamp ourselves as traitors of the race. If we should fail to denounce Nazism, we stand indicted as the supreme ingrates of history."

The resolution that will be presented today on behalf of the Women’s Division at the Anti-Nazi League "endorses the boycott and anti-Nazi propaganda in the United States and earnestly urges all the constituent member organizations to cooperate in the prosecution of this movement until all trace of barbarism and persecution shall be eradicated from the policies of the German government."

A motion was passed protesting against the action of the Federation of Jewish Women’s Clubs for having tabled this ruling previously. A committee was appointed whose co-chairmen will be Mrs. Mark Harris, and Mrs. Estelle Sternberger, to prevent the recurrence of the move.

Among the other speakers at the meeting were Mrs. Rebekah Kohut, Mrs. Richard Gottheil and Mrs. Mark Harris.
