As a tribute to Henrietta Szold, dean of American women Zionists and founder of Hadassah, and Mrs. Edward Jacobs, former national president of the organization, the national board of Hadassah will purchase a parcel of land in their names in Kfar Ussishkin, the colony to be established in Palestine in honor of Menachim Mendel Ussishkin, head of the Jewish National Fund. The plot will consist of two dunams, approximately ten city lots. Miss Szold, who now resides in Jerusalem, is chairman of the Bureau for Settlement of Refugee Children in Palestine. Mrs. Jacobs, a resident of New York, is at present chairman of the building fund committee of the Hadassah-University Hospital for Palestine, which will be a leading medical center in the Near East.
