The Borough Park group of Hadassah marked the end of its season with the installation of new officers and a musicale last week at the home of Mrs. Abraham Krumbein, 1561 Fiftieth street. Mrs. Joseph Horowitz, vice-president of the Brooklyn chapter, presided. Among the new officers are Mmes. N. P. Shapiro, E. Silver, G. Offin, N. Silverstein, T. Wareck, A. F. Schwartz, M. Ashinsky, A. Meyers and A. S. Schwartz.
MIZRACHI WOMEN CONFER
The Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America will hold its semi-annual conference on June 19 and 20 at the Ocean Crest Hotel, Arverne, L. I. Plans will be made for the completion of the Technical School and Cultural Center for Girls in Jerusalem, the organization’s specific project. Mrs. Abraham Shapiro, national president, will preside. Other officers are Mmes. B. H. Schnur and Belle J. Goldstein.
GELDBERG-SCHNEIDER NUPTIALS
The wedding of Miss Lilyan Goldberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Goldberg, to David Schneider, takes place today at the Senate, 2002 Creston avenue, the Bronx. The bride has been for four years a member of the Jewish Daily Bulletin staff. The groom is a teacher in Evander Childs High School. Joe Schecter will be best man, and the bride’s sister, Miss Beatrice Goldberg, also connected with the Jewish Daily Bulletin, will be maid of honor. Among the guests expected to attend the wedding are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bernstein and Mrs. Jacob Landau.
ARTIST AT GLOUCESTER
Miss Theresa F. Bernstein, the artist, is at present at her summer home in East Gloucester, Mass. An exhibition of her paintings and her husband’s etchings is opening June 30 at “The Studio” in East Gloucester.
DEPARTURE REGRETTED
The departure of Rabbi and Mrs. Jacob Grossman on July 1 is regretted by the Flushing community. Rabbi Grossman recently severed his connection with the Temple, Gates of Prayer. Mrs. Grossman, who does splendid work for “Hadassah,” exerted a fine influence on community life, and the women of Flushing looked upon her as an efficient and inspiring leader.
