Placing responsibility on Hitler for the treatment to which Jews are now subjected in Germany, the Executive of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom today sent a letter to the Reich Chancellor stating that it “views this treatment with an increasing sense of horror.”
“Such inhuman treatment disregarding human rights,” the letter says, “definitely lowers Germany in the eyes of the civilized world.”
The League has been active throughout in the fight against the suppression of minorities in Germany. On August 19, it accused all who remain silent as “accomplices of criminals fighting against civilization and humanity.”
