Fourteen countries will send representatives to the quinquennial convention of the World Congress of Jewish Women, according to acceptances which are being received here at the headquarters of the Juedischer Frauenbund, Congress of Jewish Women. Mrs. Alexander Kohut of New York, author of “My Portion,” is president of the international organization and Madame Anita Mueller-Cohen of Vienna, secretary.
The convention, which will be in session June 4th and 5th in Hamburg, will have on its agenda matters relative to immigration, white slave traffic, woman in industry and commerce, Jewish religious and education questions, Jewish laws of marriage and divorce, and conflicts with civil law, how to counteract missionary activities.
Mrs. Kohut, president of the World Congress of Jewish Women, will present to the sessions reports on women in the world of industry and commerce and a survey of immigration legislation in various lands.
