Virtual completion of negotiations by which the Worcester Young Men’s Hebrew Association will become affiliated with the Jewish Welfare Board of America was announced by president Abbee W. Talamo today.
Added impetus was given the proposed plan to erect a $150,000 Community Centre by the announcement, and it is expected that field workers from national headquarters will shortly visit Worcester to survey possible sites for such a project.
Plans for the coming year of the local Y. M. H. A. chapter call for organization of the Jewish youth in the outlying towns of Worcester county which at the present time have no Jewish youth organizations.
