Several Jewish workers were injured and a number of them arrested in a series of clashes which occurred here last week between worker groups and the police. The struggle originated in a labor dispute between the Revisionists, right wing Zionists, and the histadruth, central Palestine workers organization.
The night shift of the local factory is made up of Revisionists only, while the day shift is composed of Laborites and one member of the Brith Trumpeldor, Reveisionist youth organization.
Haaretz, Hebrew daily of Tel Aviv reports that twelve arrests were made and a number of people were injured Tuesday night when the histadruth members assembled outside the factory demanding that the Revisionists cease work. Police intervened. In the melce that ensued, they arrested a number of the combatants. Work in the factory is proceeding with the workers heavily guarded.
Among those injured in the conflict between the two groups was Ezra Ichilov, a member of the colony council.
