An area of land to be used for the construction of dwellings for habitation by workingmen, situated between Talpioth, middle-class quarter southeast of this city, and Ramet Rachel, commune settlement on the road to Bethlehem, has been allocated for the construction of 150 houses.
Each family will receive a third of a dunam, equivalent to a twelfth of an acre, for prices ranging between five to forty pounds. A down payment of fifteen pounds will be required.
The land area is connected with water and electricity mains. It is planned to have five or six zone divisions. Jewish finance companies are negotiating to make loans for settlement.
