Leon Arkin, advertising managor of the Jewish Daily Forward, was elected president of the Workmen’s Circle at the closing of the fraternal organization’s 50th convention here. Reuben Guskin was named secretary-treasurer. Among resolutions adopted at the parley was one extending greetings to the Israel Government and another urging consideration for Yiddish in the Jewish state.
