The Council for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Jews from Germany today appointed Dr. Sigfried Moses of Jerusalem head of the organization to succeed the late Dr. Leo Baeck, its first president.
Dr. Moses, well known as a leader of German Jewry, is currently comptroller of the State of Israel. The organization, which represents Jews who left Germany after the advent of Hitler and now live in all parts of the world, was established after the war.
