THE JEWISH PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED ONLY BY A RAPPROCHEMENT BETWEEN CHRISTIANS AND JEWS, IT WAS DECIDED HERE AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE COMMITTEE ON A CHRISTIAN APPROACH TO THE JEWS.
THE CONGRESS URGED ALSO PROMOTION OF JEWISH IMMIGRATION TO PALESTINE, SOUTH AMERICA AND OTHER OVERSEAS COUNTRIES. IT CONSIDERED THE POSITION OF JEWS IN VARIOUS EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, DISCUSSED MEANS OF ESTABLISHING CLOSER CONTACTS BETWEEN JEWS AND CHRISTIANS AND DEBATED PALESTINE IMMIGRATION, ZIONISM AND ASSIMILATION.
AMONG THOSE PARTICIPATING IN THE CONGRESS ARE GRAHAM BROWN, ANGLICAN BISHOP OF JERUSALEM, THE ARCHBISHOP OF TORONTO; BISHOP PETERSON OF Norway; Bishops Wilson, MacDonald and Webster of Scotland; and Konrad Hoffman, general secretary of the committee’s American division.
