The executive of the World Confederation of General Zionists will convene in plenary session in New York City on December 3-5, it was announced here today by Dr. Emanuel Neumann, president of the Confederation. The meetings will be attended by executive members from Israel, Latin America, the United States, Europe and Australia.
In addition to the reports by the officers of the Confederation in New York, Buenos Aires, Tel Aviv and Paris, the agenda will include the following items: 1, Strengthening of the Zionist movement in the diaspora; 2. The role organized Zionism ought to play in the State of Israel; 3. Problems of world-wide unity of the General Zionist movement; 4. The position of the World Confederation at the next sessions of the Jewish Agency Executive and of the Zionist Actions Committee in Jerusalem; 5. Issues facing the General Zionist youth movement.
Dr. Neumann said that the latest developments in the Zionist movement, in the Jewish communities throughout the world and on the international scene, will occupy a prominent spot in the deliberations. “Special emphasis will be placed upon the question of unity in General Zionism. After the merger of the two General Zionist wings in Israel, there is no justification for the rift in General Zionist ranks in other countries,” he declared.
