The World Jewish Congress Executive Committee appealed today to league of Nations members, Italy and the United States to come to the aid of Austria’s 200,000 Jews, “exposed completely to Nazi barbarism.”

“The voices of Austrian Jewry’s brethren ask whether the civilized world will fulfill its duties,” the appeal asserted, calling attention to the St. German Treaty and League guaranties of minority rights in Austria.
