World Jewish Congress Assails Entry of Ss Men in German Army

A resolution condemning the decision of the West German Government to recruit officers for the new German Army from among former officers of the Nazi Waffen S. S., Hitler’s Elite Guard, was adopted by the Western Hemisphere executive body of the World Jewish Congress. The resolution denounced the decision as “a major disservice to the cause of democracy in Germany and a source of profound disquiet to all who believe in human freedom.”
