The World Jewish Congress delegation which will visit Moscow at the invitation of Moscow Chief Rabbi Solomon Schleifer will leave for the Soviet Union in September to be there during the High Holidays, it was revealed here today.

While today’s meeting of the Israel section of the World Jewish Congress did not name any member to the Moscow delegation, it became known that the group which goes will include representatives of the principal centers of Jewish life–in Israel, United States, Latin America, Britain and France. The decision on the composition of the delegation will be made at forthcoming conference of the WJC executive to be held either in Europe or in Israel.

Dr. Nahum Goldmann reported to the parley today on the negotiations which led to the issuance of the invitation by Rabbi Schleifer. He also explained what the delegation hoped to do in the USSR and its plans for contacting top Soviet officials while visiting the Jewish communities and studying their needs.
