Issues vital to Jewry will be discussed by 90 world Jewish leaders in a five-day conference of the World Jewish Congress executive beginning on Wednesday. The conference has been summoned to discuss Jewish global issues, including the situation of Jewish communities in Eastern Europe and in North Africa.
The opening session on Wednesday night will feature a wide-ranging report by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the WJC, under the heading of “The Jewish People in the Cold War.” The work of the Congress on behalf of Jewry will be reviewed in detail at executive sessions on Thursday and Friday.
