Witnesses able to give testimony against a number of former Nazi war criminals are being sought by the World Jewish Congress, it was announced here today. Two of the ex-Nazis against whom evidence is being collected were officials of the Stutth of concentration camp. They are SS Obersturmfuehrer Otto Haupt, who is charged with murdering Stutthof inmates by administering benzine injections and SS Obersturmfuehrer Bernhardt Luedtke, charged with shooting inmates of the camp. Haupt has already been apprehended.
The WJC is also seeking witnesses against police sergeant Sturmann and other Nazi officials who committed crimes in Nowy Korczyn, Poland. Sturmann is accused of having killed many Jews including the son of a local rabbi in 1941-42.
