More than 300 Jewish doctors from all parts of the world, including a representation of one from Rumania, arrived In Israel to participate In the opening tonight of the World Jewish Physicians Convention.
The delegates, with the largest representation from the United States, will discuss the absorption and integration of new Immigrants from the medical point of view. Convention officials said the main subjects will be special subtropical diseases in Israel and the genetic problems created by climatic changes experienced by immigrants.
The Russian Health Minister cabled greetings but added that because of “technical reasons,” there would not be a delegation from the Soviet Union.
