Commenting on the declaration of Polish Jews pledging support to the State, the local Yiddish daily, The Day, said editorially today that not only the Polish Jews but others would be ready to support Poland in the event of a conflict with Germany. Commenting in the same vein, the Jewish Daily Forward urged Poland to prove that she deserved her independence by moderating her Jewish policy.
