Foreign Minister K.B. Andersen said here that Israel should evacuate all occupied territories as a first step toward Middle East peace. At a press conference held several days ago after his return from Egypt, he said that Egypt wanted Dr. Gunnar V. Jarring’s mission renewed. The Foreign Minister, who is scheduled to visit Israel next month, said Denmark favors the resumption of the Jarring mission as well as the UN Security Council Resolution 242 which calls in part for the return of “territories occupied.” Andersen also disclosed that Denmark and Egypt signed a cultural agreement during his visit which provides for exchange of students, technicians and teachers, and increased cooperation in tourism and sports.
