The Canadian government is studying grounds to deny admission to Canada to the Rumanian Nazi war criminal Archbishop Valerian Trifa, currently a resident of the United States. Bud Cullen, the Minister of Employment and Immigration, has informed the Canadian Jewish Congress that his “officials are attempting to obtain documentary evidence which would conclusively establish that Archbishop Trifa is an individual whose admission to Canada is prohibited under the Immigration Act and Regulations.”
