The executive committee of the World OSE Union has decided to send a special delegation to the United States to negotiate with the Joint Distribution Committee and other organizations for support of the activities of the world-wide Jewish health society in Israel, North Africa and elsewhere. Attending the executive committee’s session were delegates from the OSE organizations of South Africa, Israel, North Africa, Britain, Holland, France and Switzerland.
The committee, pointing out that it considered its work in behalf of medical and social amelioration of the condition of immigrants to Israel of paramount importance, will appeal to Jews throughout the world to support the OSE’s program in the “Jewish state. It also decided to make a world-wide appeal for its program in North Africa, where its greatest emphasis is in behalf of Jewish children and youth.
It was also agreed at the executive committee’s session to launch a program in all countries for improving and reinforcing relations between the OSE and other Jewish groups and to educate Jews in all countries about the OSE programs. The committee expressed its gratitude to the J.D.C. the United Jewish Appeal and other combined appeals in various countries which have supported the work of the OSE.
