Attorney Sol Cohen yesterday obtained a writ of habeas corpus which secured the release of Theodore Eggaling, twenty-five, wiper on the Hamburg-American liner Albert Ballin, who the lawyer charged was imprisoned by officers of the ship after the sailor was charged with being a Communist, following anti-Nazi disorders in Yorkville.
Under maritime law Eggaling may remain in the United States for sixty days and then choose the country to which he desires to go.
