The World Zionist Organization will consider incorporating Israel’s Druze community in its activities; WZO treasurer Leon Dulzin told members of the “Zionist Druze Circle” today. He met with them at the Druze village of Daliyat el Carmel.
The group was founded several months ago as a gesture of solidarity between Israel’s Druze minority and the Jewish State. The Druze, a non-Arab Moslem sect, consider themselves “blood brothers” of the Israelis. Druze units have been serving in the Israeli army since the mid-1950s.
