Yaakov Tsur, former Israel Ambassador to France and presently a member of the Jewish Agency, was elected today chairman of the board of the Keren Kayemeth, the Jewish National Fund, the Jewish land redemption agency.
He succeeds Dr. Abraham Granot who was elected to the post of president of the Keren Kayemeth. This position had been left vacant since the death 19 years ago of Menachem M Ussishkin, founder and first president of the Fund. Joseph Weitz was elected chairman of the Keren Kayemeth development committee.
