The first showing of a collection of items dealing with the Nazi slaughter of European Jewry, taken from the Yad Vashem permanent memorial in Jerusalem, opened tonight at the Jewish Museum of the Jewish Theological Seminary here.
The exhibition is a replica of the displays on view in the permanent museum. It presents a panorama of Jewish existence under the Nazi terror. Included is a collection of ritual art objects and Torah Scrolls profaned by the Nazi barbarians and 41 paintings done by artists in the Nazi camps and ghettoes. The exhibit will be on display at the Jewish Museum until next February 1 when it will go on tour of major American cities.
