Yad Vashem will upload a Russian-language version of its Shoah victims’ names database to the Internet. Israel’s national Holocaust memorial will activate the Russian interface of the database April 25, Holocaust Remembrance Day. The chairman of Yad Vashem’s directorate, Avner Shalev, said the organization believes many of the nearly 3 million names still missing from the list belong to Jews from the former Soviet Union.
