Augustus Binswanger, oldest Yale alumnus in this city and only living member of the first Yale law class, celebrated his ninetieth birthday at the Sherry Hotel. Friends and relatives were present.
Mr. Binswanger, who is still active as an attorney, was born in Cantonsville, Md., in 1884, and went to St. Louis after his graduation from Yale in 1867. He was attorney for Siegel-Cooper, after he came to Chicago in 1888, for twenty-nine years, and secretary of Chicago Sinai congregation for five years.
